Which shoes can I wash?
Sneakers, running shoes, canvas shoes, slippers, kids' shoes, football and basketball shoes in fabric, mesh or synthetic leather: Nike, Adidas, New Balance, Converse, Vans, Asics and every other brand. Avoid suede, nubuck, patent leather and shoes with glued-on details: those don't belong in a washing machine, with or without a bag. Always check the manufacturer's label.
How exactly does the bag work?
The inside is lined with thousands of soft fibres. As the drum turns, they run over the shoe continuously and lift dirt and stains, as if you were brushing by hand, but with no effort. At the same time, the padded bag cushions every impact against the drum.
What temperature should I wash at?
At 30 °C / 86 °F, maximum 40 °C / 104 °F, on a delicate cycle with a low spin (400–600 rpm). Regular detergent in the drawer, no bleach. Add one or two towels to keep the drum balanced.
Does the zip open in the machine?
No. The reinforced zip has a built-in lock and stays closed for the whole cycle: your shoes stay safely inside the bag.
A whole pair in a single bag?
Yes. Clean Shoes™ is sized for a complete pair (approx. 39 × 19 × 19 cm, up to EU 47 / US 13). With the 2- or 3-bag set you wash several pairs in the same cycle, or keep light shoes separate from dark ones.
Do I need to remove the laces and insoles?
The laces can stay in. The insoles are better taken out: they dry faster and the inside of the shoe gets cleaner.
Can I wash them together with other laundry?
Yes, with towels or dark items that can take it. In fact, one or two towels in the drum help balance the load. Don't wash them with delicate or light-coloured items.
Does it work in top-loading machines?
Yes, with every type of washing machine: front-loading and top-loading.
What if the shoes are very dirty?
Knock off the dried mud and, for the most stubborn stains, spray a stain remover before putting them in the bag. For everyday dirt, one cycle is enough.
Does it damage the washing machine?
No. That's exactly why it exists: the padded structure cushions every impact, and soles and eyelets never touch the drum or the door.
Can I put the shoes in the tumble dryer?
